I run BeanByte Studio from Gauteng, South Africa, around a full-time job and a lot of coffee.

Why I built these apps

Like a lot of people, I started trading for extra money. At first it went well. My research paid off more often than not, and I made money.

Then I started chasing strategies and the next big thing. My mindset changed, and slowly the profits turned into losses. Stress went up. I panicked, made revenge trades and let my emotions run the account. I blew accounts.

About a year in, I stepped away. I thought trading wasn't for me. But the interest never left, and I could still see the opportunity. So I came back slowly and more deliberately. This time I set rules and followed them. Not giving up, and sticking to my rules, is the best decision I've made as a trader.

That's why I built Headroom and Plimsoll Journal. They help you set your rules, follow them and journal your trades, so you can see where your mistakes are before they blow your account.

How the apps are made

I design and test every app myself, and I build them with help from AI tools. Every calculation that touches your money, like margin, stop-out and profit, is checked by automated tests before an update goes live.
